The Academic Resource Exchange is made up of three parts:  academic computing, the Bookstore, and the Donald B. Watt Library.  The Exchange is the place to go when you need assistance obtaining materials related to your courses or your studies, whether here in Brattleboro, or in a far corner of the world pursuing a professional practicum and conducting Capstone research.  The Exchange is here to help!

Our academic computing staff is responsible for the creation and design of online course delivery through Moodle, a course management system used by faculty and staff to distribute materials, complete assignments and interact with one another during the semester.  Faculty consults with our staff for design input and support, helping reach students in robust ways through this dynamic tool.  Our staff is also responsible for maintaining and updating the EdWeb website, which contains links to all things student-related.

The Bookstore carries just about anything a student in Brattleboro would need, from textbooks to pleasure reading, notebooks to computer accessories, Putumayo CDs to language learning materials.  It’s also the place to get your SIT Graduate Institute souvenirs, or a gift bottle of Vermont maple syrup!

The Donald B. Watt Library is your source for books, journal articles, course reserve readings, reference assistance, interlibrary loan, videos and just about anything else that you can imagine you might need while you are a student at SIT Graduate Institute.  We provide both local and remote assistance, and do whatever we can to deliver materials to you wherever you are.  If you need a book from our collection, we will mail it to you, or at least give you access to the table of contents so you can select a chapter or two that we will deliver electronically.  We’re here to help you navigate our databases (should you need it), which give you access to thousands of journals and newspapers online.  And if you can’t get an article full-text through our own subscriptions, or find the book you’re looking for in our collection, you can request it through interlibrary loan.
