SIT and Idealist.org: Graduate Degrees for the Public Good in DC and NY this week!  Come and meet us!

No matter how many times I attend an Idealist.org Graduate School Fair or Non-Profit Career Fair it never ceases to amaze me what a great team these two organizations make. Idealist began its first round of Non-Profit Career Fairs in 2000, and SIT saw these events as great opportunities to introduce people who were already interested in careers in the non-profit sector to the graduate degrees we offer that train people in the very skills they need to succeed in these careers.  And we were right!  To date, Idealist.org remains among the top sources prospective SIT students cite when asked how they heard about SIT.

SIT and Idealist.org, continued

Since then, SIT has happily participated in many of the events, services and programs that Idealist has to offer such as the Idealist Campus Conference (formerly COOL, now IMPACT), on-line job postings and networking as well as my personal favorite, Graduate Degrees for the Public Good Fairs.  Since 2004, SIT has attended too many of these events to count, from coast to coast and everything in between.  We have found these grad school fairs to be a great place to have meaningful conversations with informed people about the Graduate Degrees SIT has to offer and the positive social change that can result from an SIT education.  We have also enjoyed serving as resources on some of the helpful panels that Idealist organizes at these events on everything from “Choosing the Right Graduate Program” to “The Admissions and Financial Aid Process” or “Preparing for Careers in the International Sector”.

In fact, if you live in DC or NYC, you can find us at one of these Grad School Fairs on June 18th (in DC) and June 19th (in NYC).  The information is on the Idealist website.  We also plan to be at several of the upcoming Grad School fairs this fall, including (but not limited to) New York, Sep 10; Boston, Sep 15; Washington DC, Sep 24; Philly, Sept 22ndSan Francisco, Sep 30; Seattle, Oct 7; Vancouver, Oct. 10Chicago, Oct 20 ; Ann Arbor Oct. 21; New Orleans, Oct. 30 and Atlanta, Nov 3.  Look for SIT/World Learning at these events and come and say hello.
